Privacy Policy

Effective October 25, 2026

This site belongs to Walter Freiberg, life and business coach. I collect as little as I can, and I don't sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.

What I collect, and why

• Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address goes to Kit, the service that sends my newsletter. I use it only to write to you. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Booking a conversation. Booking happens in Coach Accountable, the platform I use with clients. It collects your name, email and the answers you choose to give, under its own privacy policy.
• Emails you send me. I keep our correspondence in my email account, and only use it to answer you and work with you.

Analytics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites or identify you personally.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site.

Audio and embedded content

Conversation audio is streamed from Captivate, my podcast host. Some older articles include videos or chess boards embedded from YouTube or Lichess. These services may collect data under their own policies when you play them.

Your rights

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. If you live in the European Economic Area or the UK, these rights are protected by the GDPR. Write to me and I'll answer within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page.
